Description of duties:

Knowledge of construction methods and various trades such as demolition, framing, basic HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing, underlayment, drywall, flooring installation, finish carpentry (baseboards, casing, crown, cabinet installation, windows, door and minor siding installation).
Plan detailed material take offs & cost estimates
Provide sub trade pricing for plans, specifications and coordinate the tender process
Clear and consistent communication to project management upon awarding of contract regarding specific tasks to be complete
Clear communication in working with administrative staff for the provision of quotations to clients
Consistently follow up with clients that were provided or requested estimates
Able to problem solve and troubleshoot.
Knowledge of Alberta Building codes
Ability to interact and communicate well with the Clients, Project Manager and Sub trades through the job.

Skills and requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator or related capacity.
Construction Engineering Technology Diploma an asset
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to work in a team as well as individually
Knowledge of Google Workspace
Attention to detail
Strong time management skills
